Ricardo grew up on the West Coast in Los Angeles, CA where from an early age he started working in his family's real estate office. By the time he was in junior high school, he became very familiar with managing his family's properties, renting apartments and facilitating all aspects of the rental and sales process. He left the West Coast to go to Amherst College in Massachusetts.
