The co-op purchasing process is full of obstacles; sometimes just considering the whole thing can feel impossible. From the first day we started though, James was confident and encouraging and demonstrated a vast knowledge of the market. He walked us though each and every step, first helping us narrow our search with a tailor-made listing page framed around our needs then giving us excellent recommendations on financial institutions, legal representation, inspectors and other requirements to buy that made the process that much more efficient. James was highly organized and checked in constantly; what’s more, he did it all with encouragement and a smile (or a laugh) when we needed it most. When we needed advice and an advocate in negotiations both in the offer period and after the inspection James was there to lead the strategy. He helped us put together an air-tight co-op application and taught us how to order our steps during the delicate dance between getting the bank what they want and getting the building board what they want. James kept us calm and kept the pace steady and forward. Now with our family fully settled in a place that we love we still can’t believe it. And we still randomly message James and thank him.
